Hi my name is isha!
I am a journalism student at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. My concentration is in broadcasting, and I am double minoring in public policy and environmental science. My expertise lies in health and science storytelling. I am an anchor and reporter for UNC’s Carolina Week where I am on the health and science beat. I love telling stories, and can’t wait to work in a newsroom after graduation.

March 27, 2024: Anchored live newscast, wrote the update on the New Chancellor Search Committee and created the FSG, wrote story on female whales living longer and put together the VO together
April 10, 2024: Live in-studio segment on the backlog of sexual assault kits in NC coming to an end and created the graphics, wrote story about protests over letting a law student walk at graduation and put together the VO, wrote story on Japanese Prime Minister’s visit with the VO and the FS, wrote story on first OTC birth control pill and put together the VO and FSG, and wrote story about unusual Meningitis cases in older adults and put together the VO.
April 3rd, 2024: Live shot from North Carolina Central University to cover an a shooting at a dorm, package on elderly using VR headsets to battle Dementia, wrote story for pig kidney transplant and put together VO, wrote story for solar eclipse and made the FSG
March 6, 2024: look live and package from North Carolina Democratic event for Josh Stein in the primaries, took VO of people walking in the rain outside the studio, wrote story on new season for Durham Performing Arts Center, package on escape room, in-studio ad-lib about escape room
